Lyng mat & bar – the best restaurant in Lillehammer

Welcome to LYNG mat & bar, a new restaurant in Lillehammer, Norway. LYNG mat & bar is currently ranked as the best restaurant in Lillehammer on TripAdvisor. The restaurant is located down town Lillehammer, right by “Mølla Hotel” and “Scandic Victoria Lillehammer Hotel”. Actually, if you stay at Scandic Victoria you can se our restaurant from the main entrance of the hotel! If you travel by train the restaurant is located less then 5 minutes walk from Lillehammer train station. If you travel by car there is a car parking right outside the door. At Lyng mat & bar we serve high quality Norwegian food at a reasonable price. Our head chef, Eirik Nergaard, has previously worked at one of Norways most popular restaurants, Bølgen og Moi, in Oslo the capital of Norway.

We serve 3 or 4 course meals, as well as a lunch and bar menu. If you don’t want the full 3 or 4 course meal you can pick just one (or two) of the dishes. You are also welcome if you just want to chill down with a glass of wine, a drink or a glass of sparkling water.

Tuesday – Thursday: 4:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Friday and Saturday: 4:00 p.m. – 12:00 midnight

Sunday: 4:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
